DXARTS 456 — Course Schedule


TIME COMMITTMENT

This is a 15-credit course built around the production of a feature film. The time & energy required of students will reflect these realities. In addition to the 15 contact hours of clas time per week, students are expected to spend approximately 15 to 20 hours working on course related tasks such as set construction, location scouting, and actual shooting.


CLASS/LAB HOURS

MTTH 9:30AM - 3:20PM with a lunch break


ADDITIONAL FIELDWORK

Certain preproduction and production related fieldwork will be undertaken by individuals and groups of students outside normal class hours. This includes location scouting, prop gathering & fabrication, set construction, rehearsals, camera tests, software tutorials, etc. The exact schedule of these tasks will vary from student to student, and from week to week.


SHOOTING SCHEDULE

The students, working with the instructor and TAs, will determine the shooting schedule of the film. While every effort shall be made to confine shooting to the shceduled class hours, participants should be prepared to be flexible.
