ENROLLMENT ELLIGIBILITY
DXARTS 456 is open to all undergradute, graduate, and non-matriculated
students.
There are no prerequisites, and no previous filmmaking experience
is required. However, experience or a passionate desire to learn
in one or more of the following areas is recommended:
- Cinematography, camera departmental work
- Set, lighting, costume, & production design, props and art
departmental work
- Editing, script supervision, continuity
- Compositing, animation, visual effects, image processing
- Public Relations, promotions, publicity design
- Accounting, advancement
- HR management, production management & organization
- Performing arts, fine arts
- Sound design, audio engineering/recording
- Architecture, construction
- Script breakdown and structure
- Storytelling
ADMISSIONS
Admissions are by application only.
Course capacity is 25.
Admission will be competitive, prospective students are encouraged to apply early.

PORTFOLIO PICKUP
For applicants who submitted portfolios as physical packets, DVDs,
CDRs, miniDV:
Many of you indicated that you would need these materials back.
All submitted portfolio materials can be picked up at the front desk of the main DXARTS office, on the 2nd floor of Raitt Hall.
IMPORTANT DATES
- Early April — Applications become available online
- 4/18 — Registration Period I for Summer Quarter begins
- 5 /20 — Course applications due
- 5/30 (or ASAP)— Add codes distributed to selected students
- 6/20— Instruction begins
