DXARTS 202: FUNDAMENTALS OF DIGITAL AND EXPERIMENTAL ART

Research Assignments

There are assignments for almost every class to guide your journey toward finding your own path and creating an artwork. They will be announced in each calss and updated on our Schedule page.

Final Project

Components:

  • Ideation: Generation and collection of ideas and distillation of them into a solid concept for your piece.
  • Proposal: Organizing your thoughts, research and plans for your final project. This includes concept, design description, show plan, timeline, etc.
  • Proof of concept demo: Build a prototype that demonstrates the feasibility of the critical concepts in your project.
  • Production: Embodiment of your concept and plan
  • Pre-final demo: Present a completed first draft of final project. For performance pieces, this is a rehearsal.
  • Final Project Presentation: Showing your project in its best condition. Make sure to start discussing with Annabel early enough about your show site, date, method and equipments.
  • Documentation: Recording of your project. Add a simple and nice web-portfolio on your DXARTS web space, separate from your In-Progress webpage. Your reflections and future direction should be briefly discussed.
